The Seed of Hope

A gift for tomorrow

What I Believe

I am a Christian.

I believe in the Holy Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…The Creator and Provider, The Redeemer, and The Comforter.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the Cross so that we may be forgiven of the sins of Adam and Eve, making a complete relationship with God possible. I believe that we received God’s grace through the death of Jesus, and it is by that same grace that we may be saved from the fires of hell. He is the Risen Christ. He is my constant companion, my friend, and my Redeemer.

I believe that God is the creator of the universe, and everything in it. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with a good Dad here on earth, but I know that God is my Father for eternity. He provides me with all that I have, and all that I am. Without Him, I am nothing.

I believe that the Holy Spirit is my source of strength; the strength that allows me to be bold in my faith every day. I believe that the Holy Spirit cloaks me in a suit of “armor” that helps to protect me against Satan’s attacks as I attempt to fulfill God’s purpose for my life. I believe that the Holy Spirit comforts me when life has left me battered and bruised.

I believe that the Bible is the Word. It is the instruction manual for the way we should live our lives. If the answer to any question concerning right or wrong isn’t found in the Bible, it’s wrong.

I believe in heaven, though I’m not sure what heaven “looks like.” I don’t see heaven as a place in the clouds, with all of its inhabitants being winged angels. I tend to think of heaven as being a reunion with all of our family and friends, in what we refer to as the Garden of Eden; no shame, guilt, sickness, hunger, anger, or anything negative. We’ll be completely immersed in the splendor, glory, and presence of God!

I hope to see you there!
